Don’t Let Your Home Move Fall Through

You have decided to move home so you put your house on the market and put an offer in on a new place. You are now part of a property chain of buyers and sellers, in that you need to sell your home in order to buy the next, the person buying your home has to sell theirs in order to buy yours, and so on right back to the first-time buyer at the start of the chain. If any one of these people drop out, there can be a domino effect that can put a stop to all your hard work and effort.

With all the recent press coverage about first-time buyers not being able to get into the property market due to high deposits, the whole process of selling your house can seem like it is built on very shaky foundations, running the constant risk of having the rug pulled out from under your feet. What makes it worse is that you have no control over this risk, and no way of knowing who could put a stop to your move, when it could happen or why.

A break in the property chain can have serious repercussions for you, especially if you have already paid for expensive legal work and surveys to get to the point of making an offer on another property. There are countless individuals who will tell you of how they missed out on their dream home (and paid for the privilege) because a break in the chain meant they had to delay their move and the seller understandably decided to go with someone else who could complete on their purchase.

If you do find yourself in this situation, sometimes all you want to do is to sell your house as quickly as possible so you can buy the new place, but without a buyer you are stuck, faced with re-marketing your own home and starting the whole house hunting process again.

This is where we can help. We can step in at the point the previous buyer withdrew and fix the all important chain so that you can get on with the job of moving. Just get in touch to find out how.
